Show in-game FPS using the Game Bar feature in Windows
We have already reviewed with you the best ways to display the FPS counter in games on the computer, but in this article we want to specifically highlight the Game Bar feature in Windows, which provides very useful tools for gamers to access from within games, such as the volume control tool and the screen capture tool (normal photo or video recording) and a tool to play music, etc. These tools are generally usable for anyone, not just gamers, and we have previously reviewed 4 useful things that you can do through the Game Bar application. In addition, it allows the device’s resource consumption rate to be displayed permanently on the screen, so you can follow the consumption of the processor, screen card, or RAM without the need to open a tool task manager. In games, the feature can display the frame counter permanently on the screen.First, you will need to install the latest version of the Xbox Game Bar app via the Microsoft Store. So, the first step is to open the Microsoft Store on your computer and go to the "Library" section from the left side menu, then click on the Get updates button and wait for the Xbox Game Bar app to be updated as it is pre-installed on the Windows system. After that, you need to check the activity of the Game Bar feature within the games. To do this, go to Settings through the Start menu or by pressing the Win + I keys together on the keyboard, then go to the Gaming section and then activate the Enable Xbox Game Bar option.

Now launch your favorite video game on the computer, and when it starts activate the Xbox Game Bar app by pressing the Win + G key together on the keyboard. Once activated, a toolbar should appear on the screen where you can record the screen, control the volume, see your achievements in games...etc. But what we need now is to bring up the performance statistics window by clicking on the Performance icon from the top bar.
After the Performance window appears within the Xbox Game Bar interface, you will find among the FPS indicators to display the frame rate every second. You can customize this panel in terms of color, size, and transparency, by clicking on the "Performance options" settings button. For example, from the Graph Position menu, you can modify the layout in which the indicators are displayed. You can also modify the window transparency via the Backplate transparency option, and through the Accent Color menu, you can select the appropriate color for the graphs.

Note that this window will disappear when you return to the game again, so now you need to drag the Performance window and place it in a suitable place on the screen so that it does not affect the gaming experience, after that press the “Pin” icon (📌) in the window bar, and thus you may Installed so you can now continue playing and watching FPS updates simultaneously as shown in the attached image above.
