(Dorov) said at the end of last June that Telegram intends to add the stories feature in early July, but it did not do so, but now it has started adding it to subscribers of its paid service (Telegram Premium).
It should be noted that the Telegram service is one of the latecomers in supporting the Stories feature. After the Snapchat application contributed to its popularity, other applications over the past years started adding it to its applications and services, so the beginning was from Instagram, then Facebook, then WhatsApp, then TikTok, Twitter, and even the business social network: LinkedIn, and the encrypted messaging application Signal.
Telegram previously stated that its stories feature will work with the same mechanism as in popular social media applications, and users will be able to select who can view stories, either everyone, all contacts, selected contacts, or a list of close friends.
The stories published through the application will be displayed at the top of the conversations in an expandable and collapsible space, with the ability to hide some stories when needed.
Users can control when stories expire, from 6 hours to 48 hours, with the option to keep them displayed permanently on the profile page, as is the case on Instagram
