Microsoft announces new features for the Clipchamp video editor

Microsoft has revealed new features for its video editor Clipchamp , some of which are based on artificial intelligence mechanisms .

One of the most prominent new features added is the Auto Compose feature, which allows uploading photos and video clips, then choosing a video style so that artificial intelligence mechanisms can automatically create a professional-looking video clip, without the user spending a lot of time editing the video.

Microsoft also added in the Clipchamp program a new tab for the content library to help users find content that can be added to video clips, such as images, sounds, and video. The tab displays current and recently used content, and is also arranged by categories. The desired materials can be accessed faster using the search feature.

Personal account holders can use Clipchamp to add a voiceover to their video clips for up to 30 minutes, as well as attach an accompanying text comment, with the ability to edit the voiceover separately from the video clip.

Microsoft said that it also made it possible to use the text-to-voice feature based on artificial intelligence, with the ability to control language, emotion, and tone of voice.

It is worth noting that users can try out some of these new features at the present time, while Microsoft will make the rest of the features available at a later time.

Microsoft acquired the web-based video editing tool Clipchamp in 2021, and included the tool as part of Microsoft 365 personal, family, and business subscription plans.
